HERE AT BUFF-IT we love motorsport IN 2019 we have decided to start up our very own Race Team (Buff-it motorsports)

BUFF-IT MOTORSPORTS

At the beginning of March 2019 here at Buff-IT HQ we were getting pretty excited for all of the race seasons about to start, Formula One, British Touring Car, MINICHALLENGE (The championship our two drivers are partaking in) and the rest, we started to wonder what would it be like to be a racing driver and then a few days later whilst scrolling facebook on work time of course! we saw a post appear about a new race series where they endurance race Ford KA’s. We thought “Do KA’s even go fast enough to race!?!” after doing a bit of research and seeing how cost effective the championship was it seemed like a perfect fit to start a motorsport team in and seeing as everyone in the office was a complete novice when it comes to racing we thought no one would be able to go fast enough to kill themselves!

The following week we made a few calls and a friend at car dealership had just taken in a stunning little Black Ford KA part exchange, he promised me that it was one lady owner low mileage and never driven up hills however I was dubious, anyway he wanted £200 for this little gem and after some tough negotiating we managed to drive away (very slowly) in this 1299cc Collection Edition KA for a bargain price of £200 however due to the previous owner leaving £5.25 in coins under the seat we managed to get the car for a steal of £194.75.

Now the fun begins but having missed the first round of the EnduroKA we are planning to have the car built and race ready for the second round (12 Heures du Norfolk) on the 15th and 16th of June. Stay tuned to see how we get on!

NEARLY THERE….

Due to various unforeseen things happening in the background our little bundle of Joy never got the attention it needed to be race ready for 2019! However due to a lovely Christmas break we have managed to give the KA some much needed TLC! We are just a few weeks away from the start of our winter test programme (that sounds more serious than it actually is) And thanks to the amazing David Charles Group we will have a fresh livery ready for the 2020 season! Watch this space!
